Deconstructed Sketch #140

It's deconstructing time! I'm following the wonderful Jen again this week at the Deconstructed Sketch. Here's what's happening for Sketch #140:

I don't have any circles large enough for the card base so I mounted mine on a square card. Looks like I need some Grand Spellbinders dies, right? I'm hoping I can use one of my 40% off monthly coupons at one of my online stores. I received a goody box this weekend and used some of the Fancy Pants patterned paper I purchased on this card. Then I recalled seeing similar colors in the inspiration photo over at the colourQ blog and thought I'd try to sneak this in! Here's the inspiration photo:

Not exactly...but I thought let's try it! I hope the yellow is close enough; the other colors seemed to be on the mark. Here's my card:

I did a little fancy footwork on the inside:

Here are the ingredients: Kraft and Yellow paper from Recollections; Patterned Paper from Fancy Pants; Banner stamp from Recollections (I stamped the banner on white first, then switched to Kraft and layered on top of the white one) Hero Arts stamps for the sentiment and the flower which is layered with foam tape and colored with Copics.

Thanks for looking and have a colorful day!

  1. Beautiful patterned papers you've used - the sketch shows them off to perfection with all those layers! Thanks for playing along at Colour Q this week!
