Lovely, right? Told ya. With colors this bold I decided to go with Clean & Simple and leave some white space for the colors to bounce off of. Here's my card:

Hi, welcome to my little corner of the world! I'm posting a card made for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge:



I recently got some stamp and die sets I was anxious to try.  I tried both ways, stamp and then cut and cut and then stamp. Both were equally hard! Here's the result of a few practices:

And my poppies card, bright and cheery! I really like the wide borders on this sketch. I pushed the flowers up and over the edge, coloring the bottom flower on the mat yellow and adding 3D foam tape for the colored top flowers.

I'm practicing my coloring and just ordered two more brands of markers. To date, I have only worked with Copics and Spectrum Noir. I think I do OK with coloring, but the blending makes my brain bleed (makes the color on the paper bleed too if I'm being honest). Anywhoooo, here's my card - hoping it makes you dream of Summer!

I'm sure there is a four leaf clover hiding in there somewhere! I believe the style of my card is "clean and layered". I went back and read the style definitions and I think C&L sums it up. Once I got the concept in my head, this was a really easy card to do. No inking, stamping or coloring, just a lot of die cutting. Hope you like!

See what I mean? It's spectacular in all it's innocence. I have a problem though...I just can't seem to leave white space alone. I try, I promise I do. I finish something and somehow (in my sleep?) I manage to creep back and add something. So, for my card I used a light gray and an EF instead of white and I managed not to touch it after I was done. See here:

Um...I did go back and add the drops, sorry.

Greetings paper lovers! Let's GO GREEN with this superb color challenge at Sunday Stamps for this week's Shades of Green challenge. Here is the inspiration photo:



Superb, right! Told ya. I didn't have any patterned paper highlighting these colors so I stamped my own for the first time. I used 3 (or 4?) Memento ink pads. I think it came out really good (pat, pat).  Initially I cut the feathers out of cardstock, but it looked kind of flat so I added the foil. Have a look:

I didn't even know I had a stamp and die that sort of matched. Does this mean I have too much stuff? Never!
